  1. This reminds me of the days that I was with the Rural Air Service of Malaysian Airlines System flying DHC6-300 Twin Otters in the jungle runways of Sabah and Sarawak, the two East Malaysian states in the big island of Borneo in the early 1980's.
    Of course we had those very short grass runways there with obstacles that made every take-off and landing a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and with a little bit of rain, one hell of an adrenaline rush. :-)
